Common Ground Tasmania
Common Ground Tasmania (CGT) manages two supported accommodation facilities in Hobart’s CBD, providing permanent supportive housing for formerly homeless and low income Tasmanians. The facility in Campbell St offers 50 units and the one in Liverpool St/Barrack Street has 47 units. Approximately 40% of these (around 39 units) are available for people who have experienced homelessness.
The Common Ground model brings together a mix of tenants who were homeless and those in need of affordable housing. The facilities provide support to tenants to build new opportunities for disadvantaged Tasmanians to get a new start in life. Both properties have individual Residential Management Agreements (RMAs) between the Director of Housing and CGT.
